Polyurethane is a tough and much higher quality alternative to rubber, metal and other plastics. There are many advantages using polyurethane for its chemical properties such as its strong wear ability, noise reducing, impact restraint, non marking, and tough wear ability. The ranges of hardesses are vast, covering grades as soft as TV remote buttons to grades harder than Nylon.

Abrasion tests also beat the properties of rubber outlasting it by between 6-10 times longer. Polyurethane even out lasts other strong materials such as metal pipes, pumps and other tough wearing materials.

Our range of seals and components come in a variety of colours and materials. In addition to our standard products we also have a great deal of experience in custom mouldings and are always willing to accommodate new products and materials.

Service is important, therefore, the aim of Polyurethane Progress Ltd is to provide a quick and efficient service to industry at realistic prices. We understand the ‘just in time’ principle and also the need to respond in breakdown situations.

Quality is of utmost importance in industry. This was recognised by us some time ago and, we were approved by BVQI in 1990 and accredited with BS5750 Part 1, ISO 9001 and ISO 9002. This has helped achieve a good working relationship with our customers.

Prices are an important part of any business, both from the customer’s point of view and the suppliers. We have put a great deal of effort into our price structure to ensure we can offer good prices to our customers and still maintain good quality and service.

Discounts are offered depending on quantity, material etc... These discounts can be offered on larger quantities, which is relevant to setting time versus actually production time.

New moulds are produced onsite in our Tooling Department. This allows for full control of delivery time and tool cost. The intention is for tooling to be produced quickly and efficiently which is obviously an important part of the moulding operation.

Stock has not generally been held in the past in view of the speed at which we manufacture, however we, do now hold some stock of standard items. We also accept the forward orders to be supplied on a monthly basis.
